Grief-stricken and exhausted, he attempted to end his life with his own serum but was instead haunted by visions of a future dominated by unchecked technological and social collapse. Convinced these visions were prophetic, Adémar emerged with a new purpose: to reshape human progress and prevent the devastation he had foreseen.

Fuelled by a mixture of insight, doubt, and determination, Adémar amassed wealth and influence, founding Nexen to control the pace of development. Through Nexen, he gathered brilliant minds, established powerful factions, and deployed covert operatives to keep his vision unchallenged.
